Below are samples of Six O' Eight Renovations’s remodeling work in Virginia homes including kitchens, outdoor entertainment areas, bathrooms, home offices and entertainment centers.
~ KITCHEN PROJECTS ~
|
Project One
A casual feel was achieved in this beach residence with recessed panel cabinetry and accent bead doors in natural maple wood. Satin nickel finished door hardware added elegance and style along with the “Ubatuba” granite counter tops. Engineered ash wood flooring in a natural finish was incorporated as a foundation for this project. |

Project Two
Cabinetry in two distinct styles and colors adds distinct style to this lakefront residence. An antique ivory finished door style with raised panels in a golden glaze was used with a dark complimentary maple door with raised panels in a sorrel and ebony glaze stain. A grand two piece curve crown molding lends height and mass, seamlessly blending the cabinetry to the ceiling. Two distinct contrasting granite colors were used against the two cabinetry colors - “Black Galaxy” granite on the antique ivory cabinetry and “Madura Gold” granite on the dark maple cabinetry.

Project Three
A traditional elegance with modern touches was the objective in this kitchen with raised panel maple cabinetry doors (square bottom and arch uppers) in toffee finish. Large single piece traditional crown molding finishes the wall cabinets allowing space between the cabinets and the ceiling. The hardware is a mix of drawer pulls and cup handles in a modern satin nickel finish.

Project Four
This outdoor kitchen gives the homeowners the luxury of being able to enjoy the outdoors year-round. The goal for this space was to blend the existing exterior of the home and surrounding outdoor environment. A natural, weathered feel was achieved by using granite countertops with a “Riverwash” surface and stone veneer tiles were used to match the existing pool tiles. The layout was designed to facilitate cooking and entertaining. Stainless appliances provide a beautiful contrast between the brilliant metal finish and the rugged stone. The fully-loaded kitchen includes a large grill, oven, warming drawer, refrigerator, dish washer and full sink – no need for this family to ever go inside!

Project Five
This master bathroom was achieved by expanding two existing rooms into one large space. Features include his-and-hers vanity sinks, closet storage and glass-enclosed walk-in shower with corner seats. The design provides a luxurious hotel-look with plenty of elbow room, giving each person their own station for hygiene. The color palette combines a variety of striking warm earth tone used in the floor tiles, shower walls and granite countertops. Individual satin nickel shower heads and ivory finished cabinetry contribute to the contemporary feel providing a calm, relaxing mood to the space.

~ HOME OFFICE PROJECTS ~
|
|
Project Six
The client’s original white painted “built in” upper shelves and typical enclosed lower cabinetry didn’t meet their needs or style of the home. Their wish list included a seated area, storage and a countertop/desk for keeping household items together. They needed an organized desk area for storing bills and paperwork and a separate shelf below to house their printer. After tearing out the entire old layout, a new design was customized to fit the space without blowing up their budget. No walls were disturbed and the new functional space was brought to life without major construction. The new space was designed to give the homeowners a contemporary, yet classic look to go with the architecture of the house setting. This was achieved with the use of a full overlay door style in maple with a warm medium tone finish and granite countertop.

~ ENTERTAINMENT CENTER PROJECTS ~
|
|
Project Seven
This custom entertainment center consists of “Toffee” stained maple cabinetry with a subtle traditional style, providing organization and ease of access to movies, books and CD’s. Glass doors allow for displaying decorative objects and finding items quickly. Ubatuba granite provides a sturdy shelf on which the TV stands. All of these details compliment the large flat screen TV to balances style and function without sacrificing one for the other. As so many homeowners want today, the focus of this project was to make the TV look as though it’s meant to be in the furniture versus the furniture just housing the TV.

Project Eight
The dark cherry stain on this entertainment center gives the feeling of warmth and grounding color. The glass doors above allow display of items that are important and visual. The cabinetry contains adjustable shelves and stores all the things most people like to keep hidden, yet easily accessible. The balance of size and function keep the look of a large TV from taking over wall space in the room. Once again, customizing the center with standard size surrounding cabinetry can make a typical layout look one-of-a kind.
